Auditions

We accept musicians by audition. 
We offer: 

Four full orchestra concerts
Two chamber orchestra concerts
Performances with professional soloists
An annual concerto competition for soloists
Performance tours every two years (summer 2009, 2011)
A varied and challenging musical repertoire
A CD recording every year

 Auditions will be held in May
and September, 2010

St. Stephen's Episcopal Church

Applicants should be prepared to:

• Play two contrasting movements of a Concerto or Sonata without an accompanist.  (Percussionists should prepare an appropriate solo work/etude.) "Contrasting" refers to one technical movement and one slower or musical movement. No applicant will play an entire concerto during the audition.
  
• Sight-read music provided to them.
  
• Perform major scales up to 4 flats and 4 sharps.
